Quoting HTML Hell page
“Best viewed with…”
Ah, yes, “Best viewed with…” — surest sign of an incompetent web designer (unless it’s one of the parody buttons from the Viewable with Any Browser campaign). This kind of lameness is not just bad taste, it makes the site actually unusable for the large numbers of surfers who happen to be using something other than the designer’s favorite browser. Unfortunately, the sort of people who do “Best viewed with…” is also usually way too stupid to get the point if you try to explain that HTML is supposed to be about device-independence — so pull them by the guilt-strings and point out that blind people surf too. If that doesn’t work, club them to death with a chair leg or something. No court would convict.
Note: “Our” refers to Egyptian.
i faced a problem but not in site viewing .. it in site using while register @ tansik portal for one of my friends in Thanwya 3ama
there was an input for ( seat number ) i enter the number on it and press the submit button then i found Js alert that i have to put value in the (seat number ) field :D (( i was using FF 3 ))
i reviewed the code quickly and found a simple erorr in the first letter of the filed name ( uppercase ) and when calling with ( lowercase ).. then i called the hot line for help and request a technical to talk to him :)
when he comes i explained that and all what he have to do is rename from (seatnumber1) to (Seatnumber1) but he comes angry and when he know that i was browsing by FF he said [ use the site by IE .. just IE .. we don't support any other browsers .. any other services ] :D
No Comment :)
